In a bizarre crossover event that challenges usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal release, "An unusual meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of banned rituals and monstrous changes reverberate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine sect.
The mission focuses on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations.
