It's a challenge for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

This is the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with another six T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, targeted by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a side that has won it all.

The fact it required until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It's challenging for their batters to possess a record if not afforded the chance.

Ultimately, the outcome of Australia giving up 330 runs was captain Alyssa Healy receiving a platform to deliver her most recent brilliance.

Originally famous as the teenage relative of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after her nation failed to win either of the T20 or ODI World Cups conducted earlier and has witnessed all through 15 successful years since.

A T20 championship victory came three months after her debut and seven world titles have resulted from 10 tries across formats.

"The possibility to play and face the challenge with her and just have a bit of fun that way, somewhat inspired me," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 balls - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 as she flogged anything short, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

When she was removed her side needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the confidence to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it again but, should it happen, we are confident we can do it."

Those words will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this World Cup need to hear.

In recent days a belief they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this victory following success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may well be secure.

It was at that stage they were eliminated from the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at a significant event.

So great is her will, she afterwards commented she wanted to have participated with the discomfort.

Yet even as she later admitted those physical issues have delayed consideration of ending her career, this World Cup is anticipated as her concluding event as leader in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve a world championship as captain.

Victory in India would take her to the summit of her final mountain.
